Issue 5.0 of the Riskplaza-audit+ certification scheme has been published on March 31, 2020. In recent years, Riskplaza has switched from unaccredited to accredited certification. There was a need to incorporate the experiences gained into a new document. Substantive and protocol amendments have been made to make the Riskplaza-audit+ certificate more attractive and to clarify the rules.

From October 1st, 2020, a transition period of 1 year applies. During this transitional period, any non-conformity with regard to the changed criteria in issue 5.0 (compared to issue 4.1), identified during the audit, will be classified as a minor (and not as a major) non-conformity, as long as the relevant food safety hazards are demonstrably controlled. From October 1st, 2021, this certification scheme will come into full force.
